Wallapop has become one of the most used platforms in Spain to buy and sell all kinds of second-hand items. Along with Milanuncios, Segundamano and some others manage a large part of these sales. Wallapop has always stood out for being oriented towards its mobile application, in fact until recently its web version barely allowed you to do anything.
Now, in an attempt to further improve the platform, Wallapop has created new in-app search alertsThese new alerts can be configured from the mobile application and they help us to find products of our interest without browsing the application all the time.
What alerts can be configured?
The operation is very simple, you can configure a search with certain criteria and the application will notify you when those criteria are met. Giving an example is very simple. Imagine that you enter the application but you can't find the PS4 game you're looking for or, if you did, it's very expensive. You can set a filter with FIFA 19, for example, at a price of less than 30 euros. If someone uploads a new product that matches this search, the app will send you an alert.
In alerts you can use all filters, from keywords, categories, zones and even maximum prices for products.

This new feature is available in the latest version of the app on both Android and iPhone. Its operation is as follows:
- We set up a search with certain criteria.
- Click on the floating button that we will see at the bottom of the application, where it says Save search.
Every time a product appears that matches the search you are doing, Wallapop will send you an alert, although these alerts can be turned on and off. In the video you can see exactly how the new feature works.
How to manage saved searches in Wallapop?
In the application a new option has been added to the right side menu.
- Click on the option My searches.
- Next to each saved search you will see a little bell, leave it green to alert you or turn it gray to silence alerts.
From there, even if you've muted alerts, you'll still be able to access your saved searches quickly. Wallapop ensures that it will only send a daily notification if there are new products that match the search, otherwise it will not. Keep in mind that these new alerts have no limit, you can configure as many as you want
