Users who have downloaded and installed the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.19.161) are in for a surprise. Apparently, they have found a menu to share WhatsApp messages on Facebook, that do not share WhatsApp statuses in Facebook stories, as has been rumored since long time. In any case, as reported by WaBetaInfo, everything seems to indicate that it is an error and that it will not finally arrive in the next update of the app.
Users who have been able to try this feature have found the Facebook Share button within the three vertical bars, located in any conversation. As can be deduced, this would allow the same message to be shared on the social network. The truth is that when you press it absolutely nothing happens. At the moment, it is unknown what the purpose of this test would be and what the company has in mind for future versions.
While it is true that this is the first time we have heard of a Share button on Facebook, the same is not the case with the possibility of sharing WhatsApp statuses in Facebook stories. For some time now has been rumored with the possibility that this implementation could come true, just as it happens with Instagram. Nothing is known about how it would be possible to share these statuses on Facebook.
An option being considered is that when we upload the Status to WhatsApp, a button will be displayed to share the image or video on Facebook. Once we clicked on it, the Facebook application would open with the aim of directly importing the file. Basically, it would be the same as doing the process manually (downloading the photo and uploading it to Facebook yourself), but simplifying everything through a button, which would be much faster and more comfortable. We will be very aware of new data to give you all the information promptly.
