This function already appeared in the Periscope application back in March and was received very positively by its users.That is why they have decided to extend it to Twitter, beginning to update both on Android and iOS platforms.

Live guests will be able to use their phone's microphone to share the chat, and will be able to 'get off' the broadcast so others can take their place. The mechanism of live invitation will be the same as the one we have already seen in the Periscope application. Twitter's product manager, Kayvon Beykpour, has declared that with this launch they do not intend anything other than 'enriching the conversations that take place on Twitter, resembling a direct to a typical talk show, thus turning conversations into a more fluid element. of interpersonal communication and thus enriching the social character of Twitter '.

This function is very similar to the one that, for a while, we already have on Instagram and its directs. However, unlike the three people who will be able to participate in the live shows on Twitter, on Instagram only two will be able to participate, thus limiting interactivity and making the live like a two-person conversation. In addition, the live interface and the invitation to participate in it is very similar in both applications: when you are watching a live stream on the Twitter social network, you will see a button to request to enter, at that moment, your friend's live stream. If he sees fit, he will accept you and you can start chatting. And there will still be room for a third interlocutor, thus increasing the richness of the conversation and the topics to be discussed.
