The Google Calendar app already has a dark mode
Table of contents:
Google is adding dark mode to all its apps. Android 10 Q will arrive with the possibility of applying a black interface to the system in order to save autonomy, and it seems that the apps will also do so, but independently. A few days ago we saw how Keep and Calculator received this dark mode. Now the Calendar app does it. This is its interface and how we can activate it.
Dark mode not only provides an aesthetic touch, although the truth is that it looks extremely good in the calendar application.Blacker shades help save battery. Above all, in terminals with the OLED screen, since the pure blacks are off pixels, so the battery is not involved. In this case, it does not seem that the tones are friendly to the OLED panel, so it could simply be an aesthetic option for the user As we can see in the images, the main white tones would be displayed in a dark grayish color, with elements in green and blue.
How to enable dark mode in Google Calendar
To activate this dark mode, we must have the latest Google Calendar update. This arrived on May 14 in the Google Play Store, so if you have the application you must have the update. In any case, you can download the latest available APK from APK Mirror.Once the app is updated, go to 'Settings', 'General' and click on the option that says 'theme'.
You will have the possibility to choose the light or dark theme. In Android 10 Q, this dark theme will be activated by applying night mode in the interface, although it can also be done manually. It is important to note that the dark mode does not arrive immediately with the update, but is distributed in a phased manner to users.
Soon Google may update different apps, such as Gmail, Photos or Google Maps among others. Dark mode is here to stay.
