Wanting more news in Pokémon GO? Niantic, the game developers, know this, and they keep the title alive with constant updates so that fans keep walking and capturing these pocket-sized beings. The latest to arrive has to do with the Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, which continue to land in the game with a dropper. But also with the way to attract them to a pokéstop. And it is that the game has included new types of useful bait to find one or the other Pokémon instead of attracting them all en masse. Here we tell you how to take advantage of them.
Three new baits
The real novelty of this update comes from the bait modules These PokéStop add-ons are now more interesting and practical and to get hold of the Pokémon you need. And it is that, until now, activating a bait meant attracting Pokémon without any criteria. A random form of attraction that served to capture quantity, but not quality or specific beings. At Niantic they have thought better of it and have developed three types of bait with different qualities. Something that will help Pokémon trainers to filter which beings they want to attract and capture. Quite useful when you have to complete tasks, or simply want to specify the type of Pokémon you want to run into. This is how they work:
- Glacial Bait: As its name suggests, it has to do with ice. However, contrary to what it may seem, it does not only attract Pokémon of this same type. In fact, it is also capable of attracting Water-type Pokémon. So don't hesitate to attach it to a pokéstop if what you need is to capture a being related to the water element, either water type or ice type.
- Mossy Bait: When activated at a PokéStop, this bait is capable of attracting various types of Pokémon. Most likely, the Grass type will appear, but also the Bug and Poison types. So now you know how to complete some tasks that require the capture of these types of Pokémon, as long as you have a mossy bait.
- Magnetic Bait: As in the case of the Mossy bait, this Magnetic Bait can affect a wide number of Pokémon related to electricity , more or less directly. And it is that, when activated, you will be able to see how Electric-type Pokémon appear, but also other Rock-type and Steel-type beings. So it's the bait you should use if you want to get Pokémon like Aron, for example.
Where to find Glacial, Mossy and Magnetic baits
So far Niantic has played its cards right and has released the Glacial, Mossy and Magnetic baits in the in-game store That is, that you have to scratch your pocket if we want to attract specific types of Pokémon to a poképarada. But it will not be the only way.
Although they have not specified when, it is known that, later this season, these new baits will be given as prizes at the end of special research tasksof Professor Willow. So we will have to be attentive to these investigations if we want to get hold of any of these baits without paying a single euro for them.
Special evolutions with baits
But be careful with another of the novelties of this season related to baits in Pokémon GO. And it is that turning the photodisc of some stop dressed with a special bait can make one of your Pokémon evolve. In this way, according to Niantic's words, picking up a pokéstop "with an active bait of the appropriate type will activate the evolution of Magneton and Nosepass, as well as certain evolutions from Eevee." A new formula to continue expanding the pokédex and give visibility to these new special baits. In fact, the Mossy bait modules have been known to evolve Eevee into its Leafon form, while the Glacial bait transforms it into Glaceon.
