YouTube updates to show all your account settings
Table of contents:
Google announced major changes to user security and privacy at Google I/O 2019. For example, Maps will soon feature incognito browsing. YouTube already had an incognito mode, but not a simple and user-friendly account setup. The latest update to the app brings exactly that, a renewed account settings menu We show you what has changed and how you can update the app.
First of all, Google account settings are improved. Now not only the name of our account or channel will appear, but also the email address. In this way, we will know exactly which account we are logged into on YouTube. It also adds a link to manage account settings. If we click here it will take us to the Google account management page, where we can make privacy changes , manage data, storage and credentials of our Google account.
The privacy terms and conditions option is now located at the bottom of the screen.
Goodbye to the option to log out of YouTube
If we delve into account management we also see a new interface. Now all the email addresses and an option to manage them are shown, which takes us directly to the system settings, to the accounts option. In this way, we can add or remove more Google accounts. Lastly, an account information option has been added and the feature that allowed us to log out has been removed.
The update is already reaching all users. The version with the changes is v14.19.54 onwards. It is likely that an app update is not necessary, but check in the Play Store or App Store that you have the latest version. You can also download the APK file from APK Mirror.
