This is the new Material Design of Google Play Store
Table of contents:
Google Play is one of the most important applications on Android. It is the official portal to download and update all the applications of our phone. The Mountain View company has managed to develop more than a simple app store, adding an option to buy ebooks, movies and manage our subscriptions. This same application is receiving a new design in the Material Design style We tell you all the news.
The new design is only available to some users. It is something that Google often does, launch it for some devices and later, for the rest of the terminals. Undoubtedly, the most striking thing about this new interface is its color palette. Green is completely eliminated from the upper area and we move to a screen white, where only the color of the apps and some elements break with the aesthetics. At the bottom we find a new menu. In this we can scroll through the different categories, such as games, movies or books. In the upper zone there are also the menus of the most popular etc.
New design also on the app page
It seems that the list of applications will remain the same, although we see some news regarding the page to download the application.Again, a light palette with green tones on the buttons. Another noticeable change is that icons with a transparent background (including those of Google) will now have a square shape. So all applications will have the same shape. We will get a much cleaner and more intuitive app.
According to 9to5Google, this new interface is still in beta and has some bugs. Therefore, we expect Google to release this version for all users later in a few months. It is undoubtedly a very interesting change, especially in terms of Material Design, where the Google Play app lacked a facelift.
