How to save your Google photos+
It would be interesting, because Google+ itself recommends that if you want the process to be much easier, take these last steps from a computer. Undoubtedly, you will find it much more practical. What you have to do is the following:
1. As soon as the photos are ready to be downloaded, you will receive an email. From there you can download in the format you have indicated. Click on the Download file option Remember that you have a week to proceed with the download. If you don't do it before, the file will be permanently deleted, although you can request it again, as long as the month of April has not ended.
2. Then you will need to sign in to your Google account. When you see the file, click the Download button.
3. The file will have been downloaded to your computer's download folder. If you have chosen zip format, which is the most common, you can unzip the folder and inside you will find all the images It's that easy. You will see that they are located inside the Photos folder, located in another folder called Google+ News.
Upload the content to Google Photos
You have another interesting option, after having downloaded the images you wanted. And it is to upload the content to Google Photos, although you also have the option to do it to any other photo storage service in the cloud. It's a good way to avoid overloading your computer with such snapshots.
If you want to upload the images to Google Photos,you can do it through a backup from your phone, camera memory or storage card.
