The alarm clock rings, with the melody you want, but what interests you is to be informed about the day and not just wake up with the roar of sound. Well, there is a formula to listen to all the news that interests you once you turn off the alarm. Of course, for this you have to use the Google Clock application, and follow the steps in this simple tutorial.
If you don't have Google Clock, it's a simple clock and alarm clock application, available for free for Android phones. Download it from the Google Play Store and proceed to the next step.
In addition, you need the Google Home application, with which you can program and create all kinds of routines and processes for the Google Assistant. This is another free app available on the Google Play Store. You do not need to have a smart speaker, although if you do you will already have this application on your mobile, since it is the same one that is used to configure it.
Once downloaded, open the app and set a wake-up alarm as usual. Google Clock has all the necessary options in a good alarm clock: it allows you to choose which days you want the alarm to sound, if you want it to repeat itself, if you want the mobile to vibrate to make it more noticeable, or even give it a name. But what interests us in this case is that informs us of the most recent news in addition to waking us up from our dreams.
To do this, while you are configuring the alarm, click on the option Google Assistant Routine This takes you to a configuration page of these routines, which is nothing more than selecting everything you want to happen once you turn off the alarm. Here you just have to mark with a check everything you want to happen. In this case we are looking for current information, so we go down the list until we find the news routine.
You can click on the cogwheel next to this function to configure what news you want to hear. A new screen shows you options with news sources such as El País, the TVE newscast, Los40, Radio Nacional de España, SER, etc. You can click on add news sources to find all the available selection well ordered by categories: news, entertainment, economy, politics or sports.
Also, if you want, you can choose the order in which the Google Assistant, once it rings, turns off the alarm , play all these news. Click on the Change Order function, at the top right of the sources screen to choose their order from top to bottom. So they will be played every time the alarm sounds.
