How to display notifications with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 notch

One of the biggest problems that users of the recent mid-range Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 are reporting is that the notification icons do not remain on the top bar of the screen. That is, they appear, stay for a few seconds, and then disappear. To see the notifications that have yet to be read, users must lower the curtain. This bug is already being addressed by Xiaomi engineers and will be resolved in a future OTA update.

And in the meantime, how do we fix the problem? Well, we have discovered an application that solves it instantly and easily although, I warn you, it works as a predictable patch although the aesthetic effect is not the most pleasant in the world. The app is called 'Notch Notifications for MIUI' and it can be downloaded for free on the Play Store. It is a very lightweight application, it only weighs 1.7 MB. so if you are reading this with data and feel like trying it, you can download it without problems.
What we need to do to have the notifications again is the following.
Once the application is opened for the first time we are going to grant all the permissions that we see, activating the switches.
Once you have given permission to everything that is requested, you will have noticed that, just below the clock, they now appear, overprintedon the screen, the icons of the notifications that we have pending to consult.
We return to the application. Now we are going to place the notifications in the place that we like best, adjusting it better to the screen. In 'x padding' we are going to move the icons to the right the higher the number; in 'y padding' we will lower the icons the higher the number is. Personally, I have left it with the numbering that we see in the previous screenshots
If you want to change the color of the notifications you must purchase the pro version of the application (€1.10), as well as if you want the background to have some sort of shape. For the settings to take effect you must click on the envelope icon.
