Google Maps now shows the most recent photos of places

The Google Maps application has just received an update with which the place explorer will be able to see, with more options and functions, all the images of a specific place, be it a store, a bar, a park... And everything, moreover, with greater precision. Because yes, until now we were able to see the photos that a user had taken to show his favorite coffee shop, but what if that image was from five years ago? What if the place changed owners and now has a completely different atmosphere? ?

Now, when entering a specific site and entering the tab corresponding to the images we will see a carousel of cards by categories. First we have all the images of the place, then the most recent images that have been taken. Later, we have 360ยบ images and, finally, the video section, in case we want to see the chosen place a little more in action. However, the sections may change depending on the place visited. For example, when we see a restaurant or bar, we will find a section dedicated to 'Food and drink'.
Without a doubt, the most important addition in this new update is the one corresponding to the 'Latest Photos' category.In this way we can save a few euros when we see that this monument that costs so much, inside, does not turn out to be so spectacular after the renovation; Or that the bar we used to frequent during our Erasmus in Poland no longer has a rock atmosphere and has been sold to hipster culture.
On the same screen we now have, as an addition, a small shortcut through which we can upload photos of the place to help Other users. You just have to click on the icon and a new screen will open with your phone's gallery. As for the 360-degree images, they are now better arranged in the image, occupying more thumbnails on the screen than in the previous version.
