A WhatsApp security flaw exposes your contacts on Android
From WABetaInfo they report a new and important security flaw in WhatsApp on the Android platform. The good thing is that it is already solved, and just update the application to its latest version above 2.19.81 to avoid any problem Otherwise, our WhatsApp version will continue to show the information from our contact list when we make a video call.
The problem, discovered and reported by a user (@stefanogomes_), consists of the possibility of accessing the contact list of the Android mobile. The dangerous thing is that this situation happens even when the device is locked. Of course, for this you must be in the middle of a WhatsApp call or video call In this way, the contact list is accessible, endangering the privacy of the user and of the people you have in your phonebook.
A new serious flaw has been recently fixed by WhatsApp. It allowed to view the contacts list when the Android device was locked, during a WhatsApp voice/video call. Please update to 2.19.81+ to be safe. The issue was reported by https://t.co/NqpfiPGy5g

As we say, the bug had already been reported and the WhatsApp team has provided a solution. Of course, to make sure that this bug is not present in our mobile we have to update our Android mobile to its most recent version.
To know that we are protected, enter WhatsApp, display the menu in the upper right corner and click on Settings. Here, go to the Help section and look for the Application Info section. At that moment, a new screen appears with the WhatsApp logo where the version information that you are currently using is displayed. If the version is 2.19.81 or higher, that is, a higher number, rest assured.
This is a serious security breach due to the privacy risks involved. However, it is still a recondite error that occurs in rare situations while having a WhatsApp call or video call. But prevention is always better than cure, so head over to the Google Play Store to get the latest version of WhatsApp and avoid any possible problems with your contacts.
This is not the first nor will it be the last of WhatsApp's security problems.Although they are becoming less frequent and more remote, we must not lose sight of the importance of security flaws. That is why it is convenient to keep the application updated to its latest possible version as soon as possible. Updates don't just come with new features, they also come with patches for issues like this one
