These are the changes brought by the dark mode of WhatsApp
Table of contents:
We have juicy news regarding the expected dark mode in the WhatsApp instant messaging application. Just in case you don't know what we're talking about, let me tell you that 'dark mode' is a function of the application interface that applies a dark background to save battery life and so our eyes don't get so tired due to the brightness of the mobile and the blue light that projects. Several of Google's applications already have it by default, even WhatsApp's direct competitor, Telegram, has had this function for some time, both in its application and in its web version.
Changes in the dark mode of WhatsApp on Android
The guys at WABetaInfo have discovered again, in the most recent beta update of WhatsApp 2.19.85, new references to dark mode in the application. Note that this feature is still under development and has not appeared for regular users. In addition, users of the iOS operating system will surely enjoy this mode first, and will later be deployed to Android users.
In this new update, the first screenshots of dark mode on an Android mobile phone have appeared. A couple of days ago we did the same with the first images in the iOS system. As we can see in the following screenshots, WhatsApp developers have replaced the green notification bar with black, more in keeping with dark mode when it is active. The green notification bar belongs to the initial version of the dark mode, having evolved into a much more appropriate black.
Here we see the notification bar in green:
And here we can already appreciate the progress of the dark mode, with the notification bar completely in black.
As we warned you at the beginning, if you download and install the beta version WhatsApp 2.19.85 and you don't see the dark mode in the settings Don't worry because it hasn't come out yet, not even in that version. We still do not have a release date for the iOS and Android systems but, based on the progress that developers have been making, we will have it available sooner rather than later.
