Twitter doesn't usually listen to user recommendations, but this time it did. Jack Dorsey had promised a true power saving mode and it's now available to everyone. The company has announced in a tweet that dark mode has been released for everyone. Finally you can have a real dark mode on Twitter and not the trap of night mode. When the light is lowered, the ultimate dark mode arrives.
It may not be on your phone yet, but it will arrive in one of the upcoming updates on both Android and iPhone. If you have a mobile with an OLED screen, you can save battery with a real black background, perfect for increasing autonomy by not having to turn on the black pixels. This new mode, in the absence of its name in Spanish, is called "Lights out" (lights out).
How to activate Twitter's new dark mode?
As you can see, there won't just be a night mode anymore and activating this new version is very easy. We can also assure you that the night mode before will not disappear for the moment, because on LCD screens it does not save battery and many may like it more than the night mode without background, with completely black pixels.
Activating the new dark mode is very easy, here we explain how to do it:
- Click on your profile and look for Settings & Privacy.
- Enter the section where it says Screen and sound.
- Activate the Night mode and check the option “Lights out” and not “Dim”, which is the mode current night with blue and gray background.
The new night mode consists of a color palette in which pure blacks are used, without emitting light on AMOLED screens. Remember that there is also an option called Automatic night mode that activates this mode according to the time you are (in your time zone). This mode was already present in previous versions of Twitter.
