Telegram now allows you to delete any message at any time

Delete at any time

For two years now, Telegram has allowed users to delete sent messages. Of course, as long as they are the ones that you have sent yourself, and as long as you delete them before more than 48 hours have passed. Well, the tables turn and now expand this function. This way you can request the deletion of received messages so that they are not in the conversation, without leaving any trace or clue of their previous existence. But the best thing is that there is no time limit, so you can make them disappear both for you and for the interlocutor even if they are messages from months ago.

And the same thing happens if you want to delete an entire private chat with another person. You only need two screen touches: one to click on the option Clear Chat, and another tap to confirm the action for both users.

Anonymous forwarding

Telegram 5.5 improves privacy by also preventing forwarded messages from leading directly to our account. If we activate this function in the Security and Privacy settings of the application, our forwarded messages will show only a name that cannot be clicked and does not work as a link until our account. Of course, the name will continue to appear as the origin of the message.
