The Google Assistant will also reach your messages
Google continues to refine its personal assistant for Android, Google Assistant. The company reported during the Mobile World Congress that in the coming months users will begin to see suggestions in conversations in the Messages application. Thus, when speaking with someone about the weather, movies, and restaurants, the assistant could suggest related information.
Imagine that you are chatting with a friend and you ask him if he has seen “Green Book”.Within the chat, Google Assistant could suggest smart cards to send the available times to see the movie near the location, actor biographies, the trailer, etc… The same for restaurant or weather issues. For now, it will only be those three sections, although we imagine that more will be added over time.
The company has also revealed that Assistant will include a dedicated button on some soon-to-be-released phones from manufacturers such as Xiaomi, LG and Nokia. Google is confident that with these partnerships the assistant will reach more than 100 million terminals. In addition, in its expansion plans, the assistant will also be available on non-smartphones in emerging countries such as India through the KaiOS operating system,
In this case, Assistant will give the possibility to dictate a message when users are in a text field. Likewise, many of these phones will come with a physical button to access the assistant. To all this we must add that Google Assistant is now available in Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Urdu, so all users in India will be able to benefit from it . And remember when the Google Assistant became bilingual? The company has announced that it has expanded to include more dialects of languages such as Korean, Hindi, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch.
