How to activate and use the GBoard clipboard

Gboard, the official Google keyboard for Android, comes with juicy new features in its version 8.0. One of the big keyboard revamps has to do with the clipboard. Of course, you must be in the Beta group of the Gboard keyboard to be able to obtain all these advantages that we will detail below.
The clipboard is that place on our device (both computer and mobile) where we save the extracts of text that we copy or cut to then paste or share them with other applications and tools.Now, with version 8.0 of Gboard, the clipboard is enriched with different benefits. We go with them.
The Gboard clipboard is renewed with attractive features
First we are going to download the Google keyboard on our mobile, if we use another or it did not come pre-installed by default. To do this, we go to the Google Play application store and download and install the application. Gboard is free, has no ads and has a weight that can vary depending on the device, so we recommend that you download it under a WiFi connection. Once installed, we are going to go to the mobile settings and, in the language and languages section, select the Gboard keyboard.
We have to detect on our keyboard where the clipboard section is located. Select the text you want by pressing on it for a moment, until a pop-up window appears.Then we click, for example, on 'copy'. Once we have copied it, we are going to open the keyboard, clicking on a search bar. The keyboard will automatically open and we will have to click on the Google icon that we have at the top left, a 'G' of different colors.
From among the different icons that appear we have to choose the one that resembles an information tablet, thus activating the clipboard. Now, a small screen will appear whose interface is quite similar to the Google Keep notes application. Everything that we copy to paste it later will appear on different cards, being stored in this space for an hour. To paste the content of a card in the navigation bar, we only have to click on it. If you prefer to fix a card so that it does not disappear, you will have to hold it down.We will also have an edit button with which we can delete and fix the cards we want. Also, the new paperweight option can be disabled with a switch we have for that purpose.
How to join the Gboard app Beta group
If you want to be the first to find out and enjoy all the news of the Gboard application before they become official, you must join its Beta group. As disadvantages of using the Gboard Beta application there are some occasional instability problems, or that it is not one hundred percent functional. This should be valued by each one and see if it is worth having it. To enter the Gboard Beta group, we must enter the group's website, enter as a tester by pressing just one button and wait for the application update to be available in the Play Store. If you discover that you are not satisfied with the Beta version of the application, you can leave the group at the previous link and with the press of a button.
