The truth is that it allows much more direct interaction with followers than others such as Twitter or Facebook. When we upload a photo or video to Instagram from the mobile gallery the application gives us the option of setting the location of the photo manually That is, we can choose whether to share the location of the photograph or not. We will also have the option if we take the photo directly from Instagram, as well as the label we have if we want to indicate our location in a story.

Delete the location in an already published photo

Have you wanted to share the location of a photo or video but then regretted it? Have you given it without realizing it? No problem, Instagram allows you to remove the location of a photo or video that has already been posted.

To do this we just have to go to the photo in question and click on the three points at the top. We choose the Edit option and click on the location, just below our username. The option to search for a location will appear, since we can also modify or include it if we did not do so at the beginning.

But what we want is to eliminate it, so we will have to click on the X in the upper left part When you return to the photo you will see that location has disappeared. To confirm we just have to click on the symbol that we have in the upper right part.

Disable Instagram localization completely

If you are convinced that you will never want to use location tracking on Instagram and you prefer that the application not control where you are, you can disable Instagram location tracking at the system level. That is, tell the Android system not to allow Instagram to use GPS location
