Instagram is testing a donation sticker
Table of contents:
Apparently, the Zuckerberg emporium also has a supportive heart and is testing a new donation sticker for Instagram Stories. We must remember that, relatively recently, on Facebook we already have an option to request donations and appeal to the solidarity of our contacts and friends. When our birthday approaches (or the date we have on Facebook as our birth date) the social network invites us to ask our friends on the social network to collaborate with a charitable association as a symbolic birthday gift. Now we are going to do the same on Instagram through the Stories.
Donations on Instagram: a reality
It has been the expert application analyst Jane Manchun Wong who has noticed this new sticker that represents a call to action so that the world in which we live is a little more supportive. Users have at their disposal a large list of non-profit associations through which they can request a donation. This is how he reported it on his own Twitter account.

Within the stickers section of the Stories we find one referring to the location, another in which we can place a hashtag, share the story with a friend or just mention it.We now also have the donation sticker on Instagram. Once we click on it, a search engine for charities will appear that we can include in our history. At the moment this function is only being tested and it is not even certain that it will reach Spain Let's hope so and that the example spreads.
It seems that social networks are getting their act together to turn their spaces into more empathetic and safe places, applying tools against harassment and false news. To these tools we have to add the new button to share solidarity campaigns and make donations, a good initiative that, however, may have its second reading. And it is that Instagram is preparing its own store in the application, so, by the time we made a donation, we would already have our bank details inserted, thus facilitating subsequent purchases.
