We have apps for almost everything. Maps to avoid getting lost when we go on vacation; cooking for singles or people with little skill in the kitchen; to flirt, if we don't feel like going out there to find the love of our lives... There are endless apps that want to resolve our lives, but... what about the lives of others?
There is life beyond your belly button, have you noticed? Although it is hard for you to go out to the neighborhood to help people you need it most, actively participate in an NGO or volunteer in any other charity, maybe you can download some of these apps.
We have found applications of all kinds, to help on different fronts and embrace all sensibilities. Below, we propose ten solidarity apps with which you can change the world.
1. I miss you
Where are you needed? Well, of course, in many places. This application is a perfect tool to find volunteering or employment. There are more than 8,000 NGOs looking for people who want to help within this app. When you access the app, you will see that you can search by words for those projects that may interest you the most.
But you also have the option to search in the different sections, options such as face-to-face volunteering, international volunteering or virtual volunteering. By accessing you will see the different projects that you have at your disposal in order to sign up as an interested party.
From there, the NGO will be able to get in touch with you so that you become a graphic designer for a foundation, so that you carry out a Documentary background work or for you to edit and layout books. There are also trips to humanitarian projects in the Third World and other adventures to help that will fill your spirit.

2. My Life as a Refugee (UNHCR)
How would you feel as a refugee? Did you know that every minute there are eight people who are forced to flee from war, barbarism and terror? This is the proposal of UNHCR's My Life as a Refugee, a game that allows players to make the same decisions as refugees who have to leave their country to survive, be safe, reunite with their loved ones and, in the end, restart their lives
Everyone who has tried it confirms that My Life as a Refugee is a very interesting app to make people aware of the drama of refugees.

3. OLIO
There are few things that are as infuriating as throwing away spoiled food. Those cannelloni that you have in the fridge and that you forgot about. Those yogurts that you could not consume because you were going on a trip. OLIO is an application with which you will avoid precisely this. It is a tool with which you can share the food that you are no longer going to eat with people who are close to you and need it.
The application has a special section for items that are expiring soon and a mailbox, so you can communicate with the people who want your food and vice versa. There is also a user community where you can actively participate or get tips on how to save at home or try to waste as little food as possible.

4. PollinizApp
Do you know how important bees are for our planet? According to a Greenpeace report, 75% of the food we eat depends on pollination. 37% of the bee population is in decline, so it is very important to do something about it. PolinizApp is a wonderful game to make you feel like a bee, created by the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid and IMEDEA (Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies) and financed by the FECYT.
The tool provides information about pollination and the different types of bees.By accessing, you will be able to choose a type of bee, you will see from which flowers it extracts pollen and you will know its threats. Then you can choose an environment (city, mountain, crops or Mediterranean countryside) and from there you can start playing. Just tilt your device to move and touch the flowers to feed and pollinate them.

5. Charity Miles
You may already know it, because, in fact, it is one of the best known solidarity applications that exist. If you like to run and play sports, here is everything you need to do your part in a cause that motivates you. And it is that in Charity Thousands donate to organizations for the mere fact of walking, running or riding a bike.
First you have to download the application and then choose the cause to which you want to allocate the money raised. From there we have to throw miles, that is, kilometers, to get more and more money for the organization that motivates us the most.

6. UNICEF's Memory of Children's Rights
Here we present another interesting game, this time developed by Unicef. The organization proposes us a memory game, in which we will have to locate the pair of each card in a certain time. Each of the cards has a meaning, logically linked to the rights of children.
Actually, it is a game that puts the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on the table. In this way we will always keep them in mind and work, in each of the facets of our lives, so that they are fulfilled.

7. Share The Meal
Food waste is a real problem, especially since there are many hungry people on the planet. And it is worth lending a hand in this regard. To help, we have proposed an application, which is OLIO, but there is another that will also come in handy. It is Share The Meal, an application of the United Nations World Food Program, with which people can share their food with children in need.
All you have to do at Share The Meal is donate. For 0.40 cents you can feed a child for the whole day. Although you can contribute monthly or personalized amounts, according to your wishes and possibilities. Within the application you will see the different humanitarian projects that are open: from helping children in Palestine, to small Rohingya refugees or schoolchildren in Lebanon.
When you have decided on a project, click on the yellow button Share your food and choose the modality. You can pay through Google Pay, entering your debit or credit card.

8. Be My Eyes
You see that there are many things you can do. And one of them can be to help blind people. Be My Eyes is a community where you can contribute to lend your eyes to a blind person via live video or, if you're on the other side, be assisted by a community of sighted users.
Sighted users will receive a notification to their device when a blind or visually impaired user needs help. From there, a live audio and video connection is established for both parties. The blind person will receive the help of the volunteer, who will see through the rear camera of the other user.
And if at any point the call hangs up or you can't help any longer, the help request will be forwarded again to find the next available volunteerBlind people can ask you for things like checking the expiration date of a product, checking the mechanism of the washing machine or asking for advice on the combination of clothes chosen.

9. EcoAlarm
Are you concerned about the environment? Well, in that case, we are going to recommend another application with which you can help improve it. This is EcoAlarm, an alarm for your mobile phone with which you can contribute to the protection and conservation of three ecosystems in Argentina: the Impenetrable Chaqueño, the Andean Patagonian forest and the Misiones Forest.
The first thing you have to do to make it work is synchronize your Spotify account (you can also do it with Facebook, but it will have to be to be connected to the music platform). From there, you will have to set the alarm clock and choose the sound you want for your alarm. You can choose from an interesting selection of animal sounds, so if you are a nature lover, waking up to them will enchant you.
Every time they ring on your mobile, you'll be making a free donation, because Spotify pays money to the Banco de Bosques Foundation, the same way you pay artists when you listen to their songs.
All of these forests have endangered plant and animal species, so any contribution is small. By donating through free listening to songs you can help Palo Santo, Algarrobo, Quebrancho colorado or Las Palmeras Caranday. Also to animals such as the Maned Guazú, the Anteater, the Tatú Carreta or the Yaguareté.

10. Yukan
His motto is "Disconnect to change the world" and it is just as you read it. Yukan is an application that offers you to disconnect from your phone to make contributions to good causes. The more time you spend without unlocking your phone, the more money the application can donate to social entities, because the hours of disconnection are transformed into economic contributions to their projects: up to a maximum of 4 and a half hours.
Choose time and choose cause. You can help Proactiva Open Arms, Nepal Sonríe, Fundación Prolibertas, Clowns Without Borders or the Red Cross, among many other non-profit organizations. Keep in mind, of course, that while you are disconnected you will not have to do it completely.
That is, you can add exceptions, so that in this way you can always receive calls, even if you don't want to receive WhatsApp messages. You have many exceptions to choose and combine.
