Pokémon TCG: Pokémon Trading Card Game players can now enjoy the new Sun & Moon—Allies Unite expansion, which includes Tag Team Pokémon-GX for the first time. These are new cards that completely change the mechanics of the game. For example, pairs of Pokémon of the same type will be seen, such as Pikachu and Zekrom, both of type Lightning, being able to join forces in combat in a single card.
Pokémon-GX Tag Teams have much higher powers and he alth, so some GX attacks will knock out a Pokémon-GX from your opponent's bench in one hit. However, the moment a Tag Team is knocked out, the opponent will be able to take three Prize cards, an inconvenience that will cause many players to see another level of strategy in the game.
In the Sun and Moon-Union of Allies expansion we can find:
- More than 180 cards
- 6 All-New Pokémon-GX Tag Teams
- 6 more Pokémon-GX
- 4 Prism Star cards
- More than 25 Trainer cards
Through the official website, we have been able to learn about some of the cards that are included in this expansion. One of them is Tapu Koko Prism Star. Its Dance of the Ancestors ability allows you to recharge the energy of the Pokémon you have on the Bench. Also, Mr. Mime-GX takes advantage of your opponent's hand with its Breakdown attack. Put a damage counter on your opponent's Active Pokémon for each card they have in their hand. On the other hand, the Charizard card with the Decisive Roar ability, gives you the ability to search your deck for up to 2 Fire Energy cards to attach to Charizard.
If you've played the Pokémon TCG, you may have found yourself in the situation where you have a Pokémon in your hand that doesn't suit you at the moment. Pokémon Communication gives you the ability to change that. This is a card that first appeared ten years ago, and it allows you to take any Pokémon from your deck to your hand. You can exchange it for one you already you have in your hand, so you won't need to wait for the perfect partner to enter the fight.
