TED
The official application of TED talks compiles more than 3,000 conferences on the broadest and diverse topics. Of science, of course, we have a great assortment, within which we can find them sub titled in Spanish. For example, we can discover how to use light to see inside our bodies or what the pharmaceutical company of the future could be like, with pills made at home thanks to 3D printers. The application has a specific section for talks sub titled in Spanish, as well as 'Most recent', 'Trends' and 'Most viewed' tabs.
At the bottom we have four sections among which 'Discover' stands out. It is a search engine by categories where we can find all the talks on science that are available in the application. In addition, we can watch the talks on the mobile or send them to the television if we have Chromecast or Smart TV. An application that we can download in the Google Play store, which does not contain and whose installation file weighs 17 MB.
Sky Map
Now we are going to look at the night sky and its stars, although with the pollution that invades us, doing it in the city can be somewhat frustrating. If we are in the countryside and the night is clear, it may be the ideal time to use 'Sky Map', a, literal, 'sky map', to through which we can locate the stars we see. To do this, we only have to place the mobile pointing at the sky and, thanks to the gyroscope, we will be able to move and see which stars are above our heads. For the application to work we have to give them location permission since they must know where we are.
On the map we can clamp our fingers if we want it to cover more or less sky space. If we give a small touch on the map, a side menu will open in which we can choose the elements visible on the map, as well as being able to activate manual mode to move the map by scrolling with our finger. Sky Map is a free app with no ads or purchases and is around 3MB in size, although it may vary depending on the device you have.
Bone system in 3D
An application indicated for first-time Medicine students and all those curious who wish to investigate a little more what we have inside our body, in relation to the bones. It basically consists of two parts, a lateral bar with head, trunk and extremities and a central screen where we can see the different parts of the body in large size. To see each bone, we will select it, it will turn colored and a screen with the description of the bone will appear at the top. To see the full text we have to press the arrow. In the three-point menu we can see the list of all the bones included in the application, select and deselect them, as well as choose that all the bones have a color in order to differentiate them from each other just by taking a look. The bones also have a 3D view and we can change the view by scrolling with our finger.
