It is very possible that by this time you are already completely possessed by the spirit of Christmas Although many already do it all year round, It would not be unusual for you to consider making some kind of donation during these warm days – in the form of a financial contribution, of course – for those who need it most.
Well, with that in mind, Google has just launched a campaign to make donations to NGOs through Google Play Store. To do so, you will not need to download any application. Nothing is further from reality.
The only thing you have to do is connect to the Google application store, always through your mobile, because at the moment, the donation campaign is not operational through the web. If you are determined to help others, here is an opportunity to do it in a few minutes. And from the mobile.
How to donate through the Google Play Store
Let's get to work. The first and only thing we have to do is access the Google Play Store, the application from which you usually download applications and carry out updates. You can do it from here or, if you prefer, type this into the address box of your browser: play.google.com/donate.
Next, scroll through the app until you find a banner that reads Days to Give: Choose a cause. DONATE TODAY. If you click on it, you will access the Giving Season on Play: Tap to donate program, with which you can collaborate in different causes.
You can participate with donations to the main organizations with which Google collaborates Among them are Save the Children, to provide opportunities for all children ; Room to Read, to end illiteracy; Doctors Without Borders, to offer medical care; Unicef, to help children or the Zero Hunger project: World Food Program, to end hunger.
Choose an organization and make your donation
It's very easy, because you won't have to introduce credit cards (unless you haven't included it in your Google Play Store yet), do paperwork or fill out forms. If you want to donate, click on the button DONATE NOW,included in each of the banners of the collaborating NGOs.
Next, a screen will be activated in which different possible amounts will appear. You should know, because Google indicates it, that 100% of your donation goes to the non-profit organization that you have chosen. You can select between any of the following amounts: €5.00, €10.00, €20.00, €60.00 or €150.00. Then, click on the green Continue button.
Then the amount you have decided to donate will appear next to the name of the chosen organization. At the bottom, the payment method will be indicated. You can use the card you already have added to the Google Play Store, but you can also change it or add a new one. Just click on it and choose the option Add debit or credit card.
Finally, click on Donate. Your donation will be sent to the organization. At the bottom of this screen you will see all the terms of service, including the specific name of the organization. Here is also something that you should keep in mind: when making the donation, you agree to transfer your name, address and amount donated with the NGO in question .This means that for future campaigns they could also contact you again. If you want to make another donation to another NGO, you can do it without problems. In fact, you can donate as many times as you like and to as many organizations as you like.
