How to listen to TuneIn music and Waze directions in the car

Although most users opt for Spotify, it is not the only alternative for listening to music over the Internet. And now neither is it in Waze, the application to receive warnings of speed cameras, accidents and events on the road, in addition to being guided step by step to the destination like a GPS. And it is that Waze and TuneIn Radio join forces. So now you can listen to your favorite radio stations and songs while driving
The only thing you have to do is install both services with their respective applications on your Android or iPhone mobile. Head over to the Google Play Store or App Store to get TuneIn Radio, if you don't already have it. Then play music as usual, choosing the station you prefer, whether national or international. Thus, when you go to the car and open Waze to find the best route to your destination, you will see a new icon with eighth notes in the upper right corner of the main screen, above the map.
By clicking here, a pop-up window is displayed where you can select the music service that you want to use. It depends on those that we have installed. If TuneIn is one of them, its icon appears in the window, and you can click it to see the player in it.In this way, and thanks to the large and simple buttons, we can pause the playback. Although there are other buttons to skip between songs, TuneIn is based on Internet radio, so they appear disabled. However, this shortcut helps us keep our attention on the GPS and keep an eye on it to pause the music if necessary.
How to set up TuneIn and Waze
If the method described above doesn't work for you, it's because you need to configure a couple of things. To do this, open Waze and display the left side menu Here, in the upper left corner you will see an icon of a cogwheel. It is the button that takes you to Settings, where we have to enter to establish the link between TuneIn and Waze.
In this section look for the section MusicWith this we enter the playback menu. Here Waze detects what applications and music services are installed on the mobile. That is why the first thing is to install TuneIn Radio on your device. If you have done so, the application appears mentioned among those installed in the terminal. Then see if its check or button on the right is green. It is necessary to activate it so that Waze shows this service when you press the music button on the main screen, on the map.
Of course, the Show audio player option also has to be enabled for Waze. With this, you just have to follow the steps described above.
