How to activate Adventure Sync to collect eggs and candies in Pokémon GO
Adventure Sync has arrived in Pokémon Go for players level five and higher. This function allows you to control the distance traveled, as well as hatch eggs or earn Candies without having to open the game at any time (it works in the background). In this way, the battery drain is minimal, so you won't have to be so aware of this issue. Adventure Sync also allows you to activate a notification to find out when your partner Pokémon finds Candy or to know if an Egg is almost ready. You'll also be able to receive weekly reports on your fitness progress, plus rewards for reaching milestones each week.
If you want to activate and start using Adventure Sync, it is essential that you have the Pokémon GO game installed on your device as well as Google Fit. This second application is important, since it is the one that is in charge of recording the steps to later add them to the game. Once you've installed both apps, you'll need to enable location permissions and connect to Google Fit. Next, enter the main menu, go to Settings, and select Adventure Sync. Accept permissions to access and enable Google Fit data.
Whenever you want to disable this feature, just go back to the settings page and uncheck the Adventure Sync option. As you can see in the image above, with the Adventure Sync function activated the objectives are shown in which the physical condition of the trainer will be seen (measured in kilometers traveled per week of 5, 25 or 50 km). In the case of reaching any of these figures, you can enjoy different prizes and rewards. All goals are available on the coach profile page, in a new section called Weekly Progress.
You may find that your steps or calories consumed are not being counted, since they appear blocked by a padlock. However, if you click on them you can activate them. Keep in mind that this new function is arriving gradually, so if it still doesn't appear, be patient, you will see it for sure over the next few days.
