How to add music to your Instagram Stories with Instagram Music
Table of contents:
Finally we have active on our Instagram the possibility of adding music to our Stories. Thanks to Instagram Music we will be able to decorate any of our Stories with the soundtrack we want, thanks to an extensive catalog of songs that Instagram incorporates. If you want to know how to do it, just keep reading. Too easy!
The first of all, logically, is to have the Instagram application installed on our phone and have an account on the social network. An email is enough to start putting photos and creating the first Stories. Once you have it installed (remember that the application, even if it is free, contains it inside) and the account is created, we are going to proceed to create the first of many Stories.
This is how Instagram Music works
On the main screen we are going to press the camera icon that we see in the upper left part of the screen. We can also swipe the screen from left to right to activate the Instagram camera. The camera interface is very simple. We have the shutter button at the bottom and, just below, a series of effects that we can slide, such as Boomerang, Superzoom, hands-free camera, etc.
Next, we are going to take a picture by pressing the shutter button once or capture a video by holding down the same button. You can use both the main and front cameras. Once you have taken the photo or video, look at the sticker-shaped icon at the top of the screen. If you press it, you will access an additional window in which you can choose questions, stickers, mention someone, place an animated GIF and, of course, put music on it.
A large collection of songs to choose from
Next, tap on the 'music' tab. You can search for the song you want or choose from the most popular today, choose one according to your mood or the genre of the song you are looking for (whether it is rap, soul, rock, electronic, country, Latin...). The truth is that the catalog of songs is quite extensive. All the songs that we have searched for have been found with great ease. Once chosen, press it and a sliding guide will appear on the image to be able to mark the piece of the song that we want to play while the user is viewing the Story. At most, we can play the song for 15 seconds This number can be reduced by clicking on the number box.
Once the musical extract has been chosen, we can select several preview images of the song title. For example, we can opt for a simple white bar in which we see the cover of the song, title and artist or the cover in a larger size, like if we were looking at the disk physically. That's up to everyone's taste.
Once you have completed your Story with Instagram Music we proceed to share it with the rest of our friends pressing the 'Your Story' buttonIf you want to make sure it stays saved on your phone, tap 'Save'.And if the Story is a private message for someone in particular, you must click on 'Send to' and then choose the desired contact.
