Google Photos will have blur change and new functions for your photos
The app for saving your photos to the cloud, creating GIFs and movies, will soon have a couple of exciting new features. And it is that Google Photos aspires to become a complete editing tool and full of resources beyond ordering and saving our photos and videos. This is confirmed by several users who have already had access to these functions and have shared several images in this regard. Of course, the rest of the users will have to wait until the application tests and verifies the proper functioning of these tools and launches them for everyone.Still no official date for it.
Vegar Henriksen is the user who shared the screenshots through the Google Pixel mobile user community. Everything points to the fact that this is a test of Google Photos with a few users to verify the correct operation of these functions and fine-tune them before launching them for all Android users. In the photos it is possible to see two new functions. On the one hand, the change of focus in a photo, something that until now only the camera applications of the different manufacturers that have the bokeh mode do. And a second option to highlight only one color in the photo and leave the rest in black and white.
As for the first function, the blur control, depending on the captures we will have different options to choose what we want to see clearly and what blurred. We still do not know if this happens with any image, detecting via software which is the background and which is the foreground, or only with the photographs taken with mobile phones that allow this differentiation. But the captures show a notice that informs of this function with a new section. When unfolding it, there are two control bars that define the degree of blurring of the background and of the object or person in the foreground. So we can choose which part of the photo we want to focus attention on. All this regulated to the millimeter so that we are the ones who specify to what degree.
On the other hand, there is the function Color Pop Something that we have seen in some photo editing applications and that consists of selectively removing the color from a photo. In this way we can draw attention to much more specific areas by leaving them in color, while the rest of the photo goes to black and white.Well, this feature has been discovered in Google Photos along with other default settings such as Automatic arrangements. By clicking on it we go to an editing screen where you can choose the colored areas and the black and white areas.
As we say, these new features have appeared, for the moment, on selected mobile phones as a test. Therefore, it is possible that it will still take months to land in the rest of the terminals We will remain waiting. Of course, the Color Pop function has already begun to be seen as an assistant function. So it is possible that it is closer to seeing the light. Even so, Google has not ruled on the matter about a date or a version of its application to land on other mobiles.
We will have to wait for more details and to know if these functions can be used in any of the photos stored in our service. And it is that the user who has published the photos has barely given details about it. Not even other users with Google Pixel phones have been able to start testing these functions. So they are assumed to be in an early stage of development, still with tests to be carried out to refine their correct functioning.
