Puccini's La Bohème is undoubtedly one of the most performed and famous operas in the world. His name may even sound familiar to someone who is not familiar with this type of musical performance. Thanks to Virtual Reality, the viewer will be able to become a privileged witness to this legendary story that affects a group of bohemian artists, where the love between Rodolfo and Mimi grows, serving as a background to describe the hectic and dizzying activity of an artistic scene.
In Street Scene the viewer participates in the setting of the suburbs of post-war New York, a disenchanted environment full of broken hopes .It is the first 'American opera', with a spirit very close to the classic Broadway musical, created by the German composer Kurt Weill. This opera is based on the book of the same title written by Elmer Rice, winner of the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for this work. It has the collaboration of Langston Hughes, an African-American poet and novelist, in the creation of the lyrics of the songs.
These two new contents are included in the section 'A walk through the Theatre'. This section gives the viewer the opportunity to travel through spaces that are not normally allowed to enter, such as the interior of the stage box, the tailoring workshops or the rehearsal rooms. You can enjoy all this content through the 'Teatro Real VR' application, available in the Oculus experience store. The contents are totally free.
