Instagram is testing a cool new feature. This is an option that will allow users to join groups of educational communities. A CNBC report explains that the social network is working on a new system so that both students who are currently studying at the university and are enrolled, as well as who are already alumni.
As we told you, the tests have already started, so Instagram has already sent requests to some users to join the university communitythat belongs to them. In this way, students are incorporated into a list.

How they verify profiles from Instagram
There are doubts about the system that Instagram is using to detect these profiles. In the sense that they do not use parameters as exact as could be the email address from which they have joined the platform and which may be that of a domain belonging to the university.
What they do to detect and link all these university students is use what they have shared publicly about their university or simply using the location.This does not prevent a person who has been there or shared content linked to a certain university from being called to be part of the community on Instagram.
