Until now it had been a popular application among teenagers. We are talking about Musical.ly, a service that has been updated and that, after the gesture, is unleashing the ire of its users The original application offered users the possibility of sharing small videos with music, but like karaoke. In other words, users could pretend that they were singing or dancing what was being played.
The fact is that Musical.ly became one of the most downloaded applications of the moment. It was then that, being tremendously popular in Europe and the United States, the application was cloned by another called Tik Tok.
As a result of all this, the company that developed – or financed the development of – Tik Tok, ended up buying Musical.ly That is why in recent days there have been so many changes. The problem is that these changes have not been to the liking of the majority. Rather the complete opposite.
The controversial update: Tik Tok and Musical.ly
Musical.ly users have inevitably had to switch to Tik Tok. In fact, users who until now used Musical.ly are now enjoying Tik Tok whether they want to or not. And that's where the festival of complaints began in the app stores and of course, on social networks.
And it is that users have seen, not only how the name of their favorite application (Musical.ly, in this case), but also how the user interface, filters, and editing tools were completely revamped. Worst of all, during this moving process, some report having lost followers and part of the videos they posted with Musical.ly
But why did all this happen? Actually, Musical.ly was an application of Chinese origin, created by Alex Zhu, which curiously succeeded outside of his country of origin. But the app was sold to Bytedance, which is responsible for the Tik Tok app and another news app called Toutiao. Hence, at this time, there is no possibility of turning back. Users who used Musical.ly before will have to get used to using the new Tik Tok.
Problems with the new Tik Tok
Users aren't just complaining about TikTok's takeover of Musical.ly. Apparently, after the change also various technical problems appearedAll you have to do is look at what users, until now addicted to Musical.ly, say in the Google Play Store.
Some have not hesitated to express their bewilderment upon installing the app and realizing that Musical.ly was no longer Musical.ly, but something called Tik Tok. When trying to log in, your account was listed as unregistered, so they chose to uninstall it permanently.
As we indicated, some are especially upset because, although they have been able to access their account in the new Tik Tok, they have been able to verify that their videos (all the ones they made with Musical.ly to date) have disappeared from the map.
Others have been able to continue using the application, but unfortunately, at the time of making videos, they have verified that these remain completely blockedOthers complain because the Save option no longer appears and when they finish recording a video, it plays all the time in zoom.
At the moment, those responsible for the application, Tik Tok, have limited themselves to replying to some of these messages with an identical text, calling on users to contact them from the tool itself. At the moment there is no other solution in sight than that, because Musical.ly as we knew it at the time will not return.
