There are many children who are still hooked on Pokémon GO. Now Niantic Labs, the developer company behind the game, is working on a new parental control system that will be incorporated into the games. In this way, fathers and mothers of the world with children hooked on Pokémon GO will have the possibility to control a little more closely the use they make of mobile phones and, in particular, of the game.
Until now we have known countless parental control systems for mobile phones, in general. In fact, they are usually included in antivirus programs, but not in games like Pokémon GO. The fact is that soon, Pokémon GO will have a new login system called Niantic Kids.
This tool will actually combine its operation with a specific portal from which parents will have the opportunity to manage and administer the privacy settings of their children, as well as being especially attentive to the data and personal information they share.
But this will not be all. Parents will also have the option to review and approve different permission slips. It should be noted, on the other hand, that the little ones – we are thinking of those under 13 years of age – will have the opportunity to access a new feature in the game, that will allow them to exchange monsters with their friends.
A parental control system that has already become official
This is not a rumour, nothing could be further from the truth. The company Niantic Labs has already published a tweet through its official account in which it explains the characteristics of this new parental control system, dubbed Niantic Kids. In fact, this same information is already available and expanded on the company's official blog in Spanish.
They say that this new technology will serve not only to control the time that children spend in the application, but also to control access. Niantic Kids has the support and development of SuperAwesome, an exclusive access platform for the youngest Pokémon GO trainers. The older ones will be able to continue as if nothing had happened, so it will be the parents who must install and start up this novelty on the devices of the little ones or on their own , if your children use the same phone to connect to Pokémon GO.
Good news, Trainers! Children will soon have a new way to access Pokémon GO. Niantic Kids, powered by @GoSuperAwesome, is a new log-in platform that will be available to support kid Trainers in Pokémon GO. Learn more: https://t.co/z5RcJo7cP2 pic.twitter.com/ZU0iAasrxv

Available technologies and certificates
As Niantic Labs has explained, the new system developed in collaboration with SuperAwesome, is a program that has the kidSSAFE certification and an ESRB privacy certified service , so parents can rest easy.
The little ones can play these types of games, but it is clear that certain guidelines and criteria should be established, so that they do not spend part of the day glued to the screen, neglecting their own obligations and leisure hours away from the mobile phone. It is, then, that this tool becomes a help for those who have problems to manage the time their children spend connected to Pokémon GO
Availability and compatibility of Pokémon GO and its parental control system
Niantic has explained that this parental control system will be perfectly valid for those children who access Pokémon GO through the Pokémon Trainers Club. This new system is expected to be operational shortly. Remember, in any case, that it will be the parents who must apply and put it into operation as soon as it is available, since they must register on the web. Only then can they begin to manage their children's use of the game.
