Table of contents:
Google is a company with many applications. Some of them became exclusive to their Nexus or Pixel terminals to be launched on Google Play for all users. Applications such as the calendar, messages, alarm or even contacts, which sometimes already come by default on the device or we can simply install and change them for the ones we already had. These apps not only incorporate better synchronization with Google, but also the ability to update much faster. In this case, the Contacts app was the last to be updated with the new Google design.
That's right, the contacts application has finally received Material Theming, the new Google style for Android 9 Pie, although it also applies to previous versionsThis new interface comes with new tonalities. We go from the blue color in the upper zone to a continuation in white. The floating button also changes to a whiter shade. In addition, the Google typography is added and they are slightly moved from place. We also see some changes in contact information. Again, lighter colors and a larger size for the contact image.
How to upgrade to the new design now
This update will arrive in the Play Store in the next few days. Therefore, if you have the application downloaded, you will have to wait for it to appear in the update panel. If you want to try it as soon as possible, you can download the latest version from APK Mirror. Look for version 3.0.6.207356499 onwards, download and install it on your phone. You don't need to uninstall the old app,as this APK will be applied as a new app update.
