Table of contents:
- Connect your Spotify account with the Clock app
- Select the song, artist or playlist you want to listen to
A few days ago we learned about Google's plan for its native Clock application. This is synchronized with Spotify so we can wake up with the music we want, from songs from our library to lists recommended by the application itself. It was already announced that the new feature was going to arrive after a few days of its announcement in update format. Users are already beginning to receive this novelty. If you're one of them, we'll tell you how it works and how you can set an alarm with music from Spotify.
First of all, download the Clock application from your Android mobile. It is a Google app for Pixel devices, but it can be downloaded for free from Google Play. Of course, you must have Android version 5.0 or higher In addition, there are manufacturers that already have the Google clock application by default, in which case you will only have than check for updates. The version that includes synchronization with Spotify is 5.3 onwards. You can also download it from Apk Mirror.
Connect your Spotify account with the Clock app
Once you have the application installed and updated, you will have to enter and go to the alarms section. Now, set up a new one or edit one that you already have established. In the alarm, press the arrow in the lower area and click on the bell A box will immediately appear where you can choose the available music alarm. At the moment, it seems that it only works with Spotify, but based on this option I think that more music services will be made compatible.
Once selected, it will ask us to connect our account with the application. Remember that it is not necessary to have a premium account, free users will also be able to select their songs. We accept the terms and that's it, the Spotify section will appear right next to the alarm sounds.
Select the song, artist or playlist you want to listen to
First of all, we will see the music we have recently listened to, including songs and Playlist. Below we will find some recommended lists with music to wake us up. In addition, with the magnifying glass button we can search for our favorite song, artist or list.We can listen to a piece of the song before setting it as an alarm tone. To apply that song we just have to select it and click on the arrow in the upper left area. We must emphasize that the songs on the lists or artists will be played randomly.
Interface when the alarm sounds with the artist selected from the app. Now, it will be marked as alarm tone. Be careful, not only for all those alarms, but for all those that we configure later, unless we change the tone. Otherwise, it will work like a normal alarm. It will ring at the selected time, we can postpone or cancel it from the screen. Simple as that. The difference is that the interface changes considerably. The cover of the artist or the list that we are listening to will appear in the background, as well as the name of the song on the lower zone. When canceling the alarm, the Clock application will allow us to continue listening to the song from Spotify.
