We went from cars to electric motorcycles without leaving Madrid.The eCooltra company is dedicated to renting electric motorcycles by the hour and operates in several European cities, including Madrid and Barcelona. To start using eCooltra, all you have to do is download the application, register with your personal data and driver's license, and search for a motorcycle near you. eCooltra does not have fixed parking spaces, you can leave the motorcycle parked where it suits you and then someone else will take it and do the same.
You pay for the minutes you use it, it includes two helmets because you can take a companion in their vehicles and it also has an added all-risk insurance for you and the 'package'. In addition, you will be helping the environment because they are motorcycles that do not emit any polluting smoke.
BiciMAD
Who remembers bikes? We, of course. The public bicycle rental service in Madrid is called BiciMAD and it has, of course, an official application.Its fleet consists of more than 2,000 electric bikes spread over 165 stations. To be able to rent the bicycles you must register in the system and associate a card to make the payment of the rental of the same. In the app you have the map with the nearby stations to check the availability, in real time, of the bicycles.

We return to cars and carsharing that we already talked about with Zity. Car2Go is an hourly car rental service that is available in Madrid. In the official application we have the map with the available cars, you just have to reserve it and pay at the end of the journey using the card associated with the app. You can book up to half an hour in advance, open the car with your smartphone so you don't need a key.

And we finish, once again, with electric motorcycles. Muving is a system very similar to the one used at eCooltra. You open the application, locate your nearest motorcycle, without the need for official car parks, take it and move with it. As simple as that. To use it, of course, you need current documentation that you will have to upload to the application when it requests it.
