How to color the text of your Instagram Stories

Instagram lived a second youth thanks to Stories. Those small videos that disappeared after 24 hours and in which we recounted our experiences completely turned around a social network that saw Snapchat snatching away the most precious cake, that of the youth market. Zuckerberg knew it and wanted the cake for himself, so he wanted to buy the app of the little ghost that, thanks to the ephemeral stories, attracted millions of young people. Since he was unable, given Snapchat's refusal, he decided to incorporate this same function into his social network, with a devastating effect on it.Result: Instagram right now has the cake and Snapchat continues to lose followers by the day.

If you have not yet decided to make your first stories, we are going to teach you how to proceed to make your first one. It is very simple and it only consists of pressing a button and letting yourself go. The 'complicated' comes later, due to the innumerable editing possibilities available. You can add stickers, GIFs, questions, surveys, hashtags and even, and this is what matters to us, your own text. And we can put that text in the color we want. As? Let's go by parts.

First steps: how to create your first story on Instagram

Open the Instagram app. If you don't have it installed yet, go to the app store, search for it, and download it. Then, create an account with your email or link it with your Facebook account. Once you have it, on its main page, slide your finger to the right side.The front camera will open, where you can start recording the video by holding down the center button at the bottom. You can also, if you want, take a picture, giving a single touch to that same button.

Later, you can either send your story to your camera roll for all your followers to see, or download the story to your phone. If you click on 'send to' you can send your story to a certain contact, privately or to a group of them. On the story creation screen, in the upper left, you have a gear icon where you can configure everything related to the stories.

How to put text and color it in Stories

We assume that you have already made your first story. Now, let's write something on them.If you look at the following screenshots, at the top, you have a series of icons to decorate the Stories. To add text you have to press the icon of the letter 'A' enclosed in a circle. At that moment a cursor will appear, as in any text editor, and start typing. You can change the font of the text by clicking on 'Classic'. This will switch between different styles and fonts.

Now we are going to change the color of the text that we have written. Look at the colored balloons that we have at the bottom of the screen, above the keyboard. You have a series of default colors that we will only have to select to start writing in that color. In addition, we have the eyedropper to take a color that appears in the image and write using it.

If by chance we have left the text without coloring it, don't worry, you just have to click on the text already written to bring up the text editor again and thus choose the color again wanted.
