Today, July 17, the World Emoji Day is celebrated worldwide On this day, exactly 10 years ago , Apple gave the starting signal with the first collection of emojis that would later become tremendously popular throughout the world. The history of the emoji, however, goes back further. The first emojis came to light in Japan, invented by the graphic designer Shigetaka Kurita, who created 176 small drawings (12 × 12 pixel resolution) that were introduced into the mobile Internet platform of the operator NTT.For the curious: it was the same operator that introduced the combination of '3' and '<' to form the heart that we all know '<3'.
To pay our particular tribute to World Emoji Day we are going to share with you 5 applications to unleash our creativity and to have a wide variety of emojis on our phone to share with all our contacts. What would our virtual communication be without these little creatures?
Create your Emoji
If you want to be your own emoji designer, you can try installing the 'Create your Emoji' application on your phone. The application contains purchases and inside it and its installation file weighs 7.45 MB. An eminently artistic application with which we can design our own emoticons from simple templates. The emoticons can then be shared through WhatsApp and other instant messaging applications. You can create emoticons with faces, animals, as well as being able to create your own stickers.
Once you have designed it, you can save it in an emoji folder where you can easily locate them and share them later. The application is based on a layered design so the possibilities are enormous. Don't wait any longer and bring out your most emoji side with this free application.
Bitmoji: your emoji avatar
With this application you can create emojis and stickers that physically resemble you, so they will be unique and special. The application is free although it contains downloads inside. The download file has a weight of 46 MB so we recommend you download it when you are connected to WiFi. As soon as we open the application, we will have to enter our email account and, once inside, press the pencil icon to start making our own emojis. We'll have to take a selfie to make them even more alike. The results are quite satisfactory, everyone will know that you are the protagonist of the sticker.
Once the photo is taken, the different elements will appear to make your emoji optimally. When you have finished the emoticon, you can share it with the Google keyboard application Gboard, since both are compatible applications. To properly configure the application with Gboard, we proceed to click on the three-point menu that we have located in the upper right corner of the screen and, then, we enter 'Gboard Settings'. Here we are going to have a practical tutorial. It's very simple, we just have to press the emoji that we can see on the keyboard, at the bottom, and select, among the icons that appear, the one corresponding to Bitmoji.
Elite Emoji
This application, which weighs about 11 MB, is called 'Elite Emoji' and is completely free, although we can find ads and purchases inside. As soon as we open it we will have to configure our selection of particular emoji depending on whether we are a man or a woman and our personality traits. Next, we have a series of emojis to share through our messaging applications. And not just emojis, but also fun GIFs classified by categories, messages made up of photos and texts like 'I'm late' or 'Thank you'. In addition, the application is dotted with different bots that will entertain you for a while with their crazy questions.
One of the novelties that we have in this application is being able to make a small 'movie' with different emoticons. To do this, just enter one of the emoticon categories and press the video icon that you have at the top of the screen. You can add up to 6 different images, in the order in which you want them to appear in the movie. Then all that remains is to share it with your friends on social networks.
Kika Emoji Pro Keyboard
The fourth emoji app we can try to celebrate your World Day is ‘Kika Emoji Keyboard Pro’. It is a free application although it contains ads inside. As it happened in the previous examples, with this keyboard you will not only have a good handful of emojis to share but also GIFs and some pretty cool image montages, as well as different 'skins' with which to decorate the keyboard to our liking. You can even add your own photos to personalize it even more and make it unique and special.
You have more than 60 languages available, as well as being able to write by sliding your finger or swype. This app has a great rating on the Google Play app store and we invite you to try it. Remember that to choose the Kika keyboard to use it, you must enter the settings of your phone and go to the text input and keyboards section. Its setup file is about 22 MB in size.
Disney Emoji Blitz
And we are going to finish with an application of emojis that is going to make all of us who are Disney fans very excited. With 'Disney Emoji Blitz' we will be able to get a fantastic collection of Disney emoticons, with all the favorite characters from their movies. But, be careful, because we will have to earn them, since Disney Emoji Blitz is also a Candy Crush-style game.Be careful, however, because its installation file is a bit large, since it exceeds 70 MB.
With this game you can collect up to 1,500 Disney smileys while you have fun playing with them. You can also challenge your own friends and have a great time with this Disney emoji game.
