Do you think WhatsApp could get more out of notifications? The 1 messaging app in app stores is getting updates with new notifications. Just a few days ago we learned that WhatsApp was testing a "Read" button where we can mark it directly from the notifications. In the latest beta there is no trace of that button, but there is a new option to silence contacts Do you want to use it now? We explain step by step how to do it.
First of all, you must sign up for the WhatsApp beta. There are different ways to do it. The simplest? Head over to the Google Play Store and search for WhatsApp. Click on the name of the application and scroll to the bottom. You will see a box where it will give you the option to join the beta program. Click “Join the Program” Now you will get an immediate update with the latest beta. Another option is to download the latest WhatsApp APK from the APK Mirror portal.
Once we have the beta installed, all we have to do is wait for more than 50 messages from the same conversation to arrive (you can also be from a group). Yes, more than 50 messages. WhatsApp will only activate this option in the event that that user fills the message notification panel. When we receive it, we display the notifications panel and click on the new "mute" button that will appear on the right. Automatically, the application opens and will give us the option to silence for 8 hours, 1 week or a year. Now, click on the Ok button and that's it, the contact will already be silenced.
Unmute
Remember that you can also mute from the application itself and without having to receive so many message notifications. Just long press on the contact and click on the muted speaker icon that will appear on the top area. To deactivate the silence of notifications, you only have to enter the chat, click on the three dots in the upper area and check the option “deactivate notifications silence”.
