How to activate satellite view in Android Auto
Android Auto is updated to offer a new satellite view for all users who usually use this system in their car. Android Auto allows you to control calls, music, messages, and navigation from the vehicle, with an interface that all users of Google's green robot operating system are already familiar with. The satellite view offers a better navigation service for all drivers, a view that we have been enjoying for quite some time in Google Maps but that, for reasons that escape us, had not yet made the jump to the Android Auto system.
This is reported by the specialized media Android Police, which has received some photographs that confirm this through a reader, Roberto Mezquia Jr. In the following photographs we can see Android Auto in full operation and the view from satellite activated. An interface that improves recognition of the environment and makes it easier for drivers to navigate the road.
The option is available to a large number of users as of today, July 12. To activate it on your own Android Auto, you must open the Android Auto application on your phone, then you will have to open the Google Maps application, open the menu button that we have located in the upper left and press on. Then, on the map, in the 'Layers' icon, we activate the satellite layer. When we open Android Auto we can see the satellite view. Please note that the satellite view will use much more data than the 3D view.
From now on, drivers will be able to have a much more realistic and accurate view of everything that happens around them while they are driving. It was quite illogical to be able to enjoy the satellite view in Google Maps and not have it in Android Auto. Luckily Google has already amended its mistake and we can drive much better. Watch out for speed and pay attention to the wheel!
