How to explore your city on the latest version of Google Maps

How to access the 'Explore' tab in Google Maps
Let's search the bar for any city.For example, Madrid. Once you have found the place, at the bottom, two buttons will appear, 'Get directions' and 'Share'. Well, this screen doesn't interest us, let's go back to go to the previous screen. And this is the screen that we are going to see next. The 'Explore' tab is the one we are interested in to get to know this new update up close.
Click on 'Explore' and pull the tab up. First let's find four shortcuts to quickly locate restaurants, bars, attractions and more. In each of these circular thumbnails, new in design and function, when pressed we will have a recommended list of places corresponding to the category, and which will be related to places similar to those we have already visited in our day to day.Then we have a carousel with thumbnails where we have more categories like 'Alfresco Dining', 'Group Spots for Groups', 'Al fresco Dining' etc.
And now comes the interesting thing. If we keep pulling the tab we will see a list of the best bars in Madrid, a 'gourmet list' that takes into account the opinions of all users of Google. If you want to see what one of the restaurants offers you, click on its thumbnail and all the information about it will appear.
Next, the rest of the lists that Google has made for Madrid will appear. There are lists as diverse as 'Where to see the great match in Madrid', 'Street Food', 'the best Asian restaurants', 'the best patatas bravas' or ' the best potato tortillas'.
In the last part of the 'Explore' tab you have the recommended events for you that will be held in the city of Madrid.
The 'Explore' tab is organized by gathering information, especially from your location history. Therefore, for this tab to advise you properly, you must have Google location services activated.
