Google Calendar will notify you when no one comes to your event
News are coming regarding one of the productivity tools most used by everyone, Google Calendar. It is simple, practical to use and, in addition, it usually comes pre-installed on our phones, reasons enough to at least take a look at it and try it out. Now, Google Calendar is updated to improve the user experience, in functions related to the invitations to events that we create.
When we create an event in Google Calendar, we sometimes invite contacts from our calendar to it.Imagine that you organize a party for your birthday and you don't want to create an event on Facebook, you prefer to keep it more private and create it in Google Calendar. When you create an event you can invite your friends to it and they can, in turn, accept or reject your invitation. Well, Google is going to warn you if everyone says no. Practical? Definitely. Depressing? Even more.
In the following images we can see what this new function of Google Calendar looks like, which we hope you never have to see. Yes, on the one hand it is quite useful to know that no one can (or wants to) go to that event that you have created with so much care, but on the other it is quite sad to be told up front that your plan no it will turn out as you expected
When you create an event and everyone turns their backs on it, Google Calendar will notify you with a small exclamation point icon. When clicked, Google will offer you three options to execute once you face the harsh reality that no one is going to your event. These are.
- Cancel the event. It's clear, isn't it? It is impossible for you to relocate the meeting or party. Or it has felt so bad that you prefer to forget the event. Do you prefer to cancel it and turn the page? Well, this is the option you have to select.
- Reschedule meeting. You don't hold grudges against your friends. And the year is full of days. Also, who tells you that they have rejected the invitation in bad faith? We live in a time when we are saturated with events and appointments, so it is best that we recreate the event but with another date. Don't they deserve another chance? Also, with this new feature, guests can suggest a new date that suits them better. They will have no excuses left.
- Postpone the event without a date. A half way between the two previous options. You do not want to cancel the event and you do not want, for the moment, to propose a new date. Those invited to the event will be able, momentarily, to hide the invitation to the event until you decide on a new date, at which time they will be notified again. Rejecting your invitation again is something you should take into account, so the only way out may be cancellation.
If you want to try this new Google Calendar feature and you don't have it installed on your phone yet, just go to the Android Play Store and download it. The application has a weight of 12 MB so you can download it whenever you want without your data suffering too much.
