Snapchat, the application that one day was the queen of teenagers until Instagram came up with the idea of adapting its famous ephemeral stories for itself, has news regarding its chat function. As we can read in a recent publication from the technology information site Engadget, Snapchat is going to allow its fans to delete the messages they write in a chat conversation. A function that instant messaging services such as Telegram or WhatsApp already have, and waiting for it to reach others such as Instagram.Considering the history of the latter and its relationship with Snapchat, we can almost guarantee that we will have it anyway.
Delete messages sent on Snapchat
Snapchat's new feature to delete messages sent in chat is called 'Clear Chats'. The user will be able to delete a message both in individual chats and in groups of users. Something really useful in case you want to correct some erroneous data in the message or you have the wrong user and you don't want to mess up.
To delete a message in the Snapchat chat, the user must press and hold the message or media file (photo or video) that they want to delete. Then simply press 'Delete' and the message will have disappeared from your chat and the recipient's chat.If you have been lucky that the message has not been seen by anyone, then the operation will have been worth it. Although this new feature can get you out of trouble, keep in mind that if the user takes a screenshot, you won't be able to do anything about it. That is why before sending a message we must be very careful who we send it to and with what intentions.
This new Snapchat feature has been enabled globally for all users of the app although you may not receive it in your app store until the next few weeks .
