Soon we'll have a lip-syncing feature on Facebook stories, thanks to Lip Sync Live. It is a system that allows users to sing fragments of popular songs and make it seem as if they are doing it live.
Lip Sync Live, a Musical.ly available for Facebook Stories
Facebook has decided to give more impetus to stories, which little by little are gaining more followers on the social network. And to do so, it wants to start including some of the most popular functions among its young and adolescent users.
Specifically, one of the most successful tools in these age groups is the possibility of performing live playback with songsand share the videos with your friends.
Furthermore, Facebook wants to put an end to copyright problems, because until now the videos with music from the major record companies end up being withdrawn, and users don't like that either.
To address these issues, the social network is testing a tool called Lip Sync Live, which copies the style of the hit app Musical.ly.
The new feature will be available for Facebook stories, and will allow users to lip-sync as if they were singing live to one of your favorite songs. And no copyright issues!
From the moment of launch, hundreds of songs will be available, including songs by well-known artists. Facebook will reach agreements with different groups and record companies to guarantee the variety of content in the tool.
Own content for Facebook stories
Facebook is a social network where users get used to sharing content from others: articles, photos, videos, etc.
And the format of the stories seems to have much more traction on Instagram, but Zuckerberg's social network also wants to bet heavily on them.
The Lip Sync Live feature can become a powerful tool to motivate users to create their own content, and without fear of retaliation for music copyright issues.
Facebook will most likely improve its perception and usage statistics among teens with this feature. Note that Musical.ly has already exceeded 200 million registered users: it is clear that young audiences like it (and a lot).
How does Lip Sync Live work?
At the moment, Lip Sync Live is in testing phase in some countries, and if it is successful we will start to see it for all users From Facebook.
To access the service, you must enter the Facebook mobile application, start a live broadcast and select the Lip Sync option Live.
From here, just select a song, coordinate your lip movement to the music and add filters and effects during Retransmission.
In addition, Lip Sync Live has a sync feature that lets you create duets with a friend, and contacts who watch the videos have direct links to songs on Spotifyand other services.
This way will also increase interactions with Facebook stories. If a contact is broadcasting with the Lip Sync Live function and we like the song, we will click on the links to add it to our Spotify lists.
