How to fix blocked contacts problem
In principle, the problem has an easy solution. At first it was thought that the problem was directly related to a WhatsApp for iOS update. But the truth is that there are also affected Android users. So everything indicates that we would be facing a problem linked to the WhatsApp servers.
It is also not known for sure if this is happening generally to all users or only in certain countries. What does seem clear is that there is an effective solution, which you can run yourself, without having to wait for an update.
If someone you initially blocked has contacted you, do the following: unblock the contact and block them again Some users have explained in the networks that this solution has taken effect, so that blocked users no longer have the possibility to send them a message.
You just have to go to the contact file (by clicking on the three dots at the top right of the screen) and scroll down until you find the Unblock button. Then select Block again.
This is obviously a temporary solution. Although this may solve the problem, WhatsApp is expected to release a new update that will shelve the incident. There are no answers or date on the horizon, but most likely the company is already preparing a patch for all versions of WhatsApp that solves the problem.
