How to share photos from other accounts in your Instagram Stories
Table of contents:
Instagram Stories are having unprecedented success And we've already seen it: Facebook wants to emulate this formula in its own Stories by adding a good number of improvements, such as the possibility of making an archive with the stories that are being shared or adding audio.
Instagram Stories double the modest success of Facebook Stories. The latter have 150 million users, while the former, Instagram, have already exceeded 300.
Now a new feature is added that makes the line between Instagram posts and Stories even finer. We are talking about the possibility of share publications through Stories, both from your account and those of others. As explained by Instagram, this function will be very useful for users to promote their friends or the brands they like the most from their own Stories.
What are we avoiding with this? Well, imagine that a music group shares the poster for their next concert and you want to tell your friends, who are also fans of the group. All you have to do is share the publication in your Stories, thus avoiding having to take a screenshot and transfer it as an image to your contacts, which is what we usually do now.
In any case, when sharing the story, the name of the user, brand or group that originally made the publication will continue to appear as such. Also including the link to the publication and the user in question.
How posts are shared in Stories
This feature is a great way to spread the word about posts we see and like. It also saves us time, because it is not necessary to create the same content twice for Stories and current publications Once will be enough and it will not be necessary to take more screenshots of screen.
But how are posts shared in Stories?
1. When you see a post that you like and want to share it with your followers in Stories, all you have to do is access it: it can be your post or someone else's person.
2. Now click on the paper plane icon, located at the bottom of the publication.Next, the Send to option will be activated. Here you could choose any of your contacts, but what we want to do is share this publication in the Stories, so you must select Add publication to your story (it is the first option).
3. Now you can start editing. You will see that the image of that user's post (or yours) appears in your Story, along with their username. Here you can add whatever you want: stickers, text or drawings made by you. You can also move the image around the screen and place it in the position you prefer.
4. To finish, click on Send to and choose Your story. Touch the Share button to make the gesture effective. The publication will have been shared in your Stories.
When is this feature coming to my Instagram?
If you are looking forward to testing this functionality, we have to recommend that you be patient. Because at the moment it is not operational for everyone. The possibility of sharing posts through Stories (whether yours or that of other users) will gradually be deployed to all users.
The first to receive it, because the landing of the new functionality began yesterday, will be Android users. So pay attention to any update notification that reaches your mobile If you feel urgently, go to the Google Play Store to check if there is any update in the Updates section Instagram package available. It should be available now.
Owners of iOS devices will also have a chance to embrace this functionality, but not until later. Expected to arrive in a few weeks.
