Surely you have already heard about this security system. It is two-step authentication and the truth is that it is already operational in a large majority of services. Twitter is one of them Many users use it daily. Others too, but not to tweet or post, but to see what's going on.
Whatever you do with your Twitter, today we want to recommend that you add extra security to your account It's as simple as changing the password and activate authentication in two steps or factors. These are two quick processes, so improving the security of your Twitter account will not take you more than two minutes. Here is the link that will take you to the direct download from Google Play. You will then need to log in with your username and password.
If you already use Twitter regularly from your mobile, it is most likely that you have already logged in. And it is not necessary to carry out all the previous steps. Let's start, then, with the password change.
1.To change your password on Twitter, access the main page of this social network. Next, click on your profile icon. A series of options will be displayed to configure your experience on Twitter You have to click on the Settings and privacy option. It's at the bottom of the menu.
2. Within this section is where we will work to improve your security on Twitter. But first we will change the password. Click on the first option Account.
3. Below you will see all the access details to your account, with information about your username, phone number, email and password. You have to touch right here, under Password.
4. To change your password, you will first have to enter the current password with which you access your Twitter account. From there, you can enter your new passwordRemember that it must have a minimum of 6 characters and that it is ideal that you combine numbers and letters, so that it is not easy for anyone to guess. You will have to insert it twice.
5. Click on the Change password button. If everything is correct, your Twitter access password will have been duly modified. And you won't have to do anything else.
Second: enable two-factor authentication
Let's continue adding a little more security to Twitter, this time by enabling two-factor authentication. You can also configure it from the application itself, so let's get to work.
1. Within the same section of Settings and privacy, you can access Account and immediately, to the Security section.
2. From here you will see an option that reads Login verification Click on it to activate it. From here, you will activate what Twitter calls the double verification system. When logging in, you will need to provide a login code, which you will receive via SMS. By entering this code, Twitter will know that it is indeed you and not someone else trying to fraudulently access your account. Choose Get Started.
3. You will now need to verify your password login.
4. Also add your mobile phone number and then click on Send code You will receive a code via SMS and you will have to enter it in the corresponding box. This message may take a while. If you do not receive it, you can also choose to have them call you and they will give you the same code.
5. Enter it and choose Submit. From this moment on, you will be registered and each time you log in to Twitter you will be asked for a login code which you will receive via SMS.
