We recently learned that Spotify, the streaming music service owill offer users with a free subscription a new design Thus as own options to improve the experience of those people who do not want to pay the monthly subscription. The new design is already reaching some users, although a global launch is planned for next week. Fortunately, we have been able to see screenshots showing some of the details.
In general, Spotify's interface will continue to have the same essence. Dark tones, menu bar at the bottom, similar covers, etc. We see some changes. For example, the PlayList, songs or albums at the beginning are seen in list form. The explore button disappears, but the same options are added to the search menu, with the different lists and music categories. Another interesting novelty in the design of the new Spotify App is that there will be an option in the menu to contract the Premium plan directly, without having to enter settings. Of course, this version will also feature .
The “premium” feature for free users
What benefits do we find in the new design of Spotify? The main one is the lists on demand. That is, Spotify will create recommended playlists of music that we have previously listened to. These, as well as some selected will allow us to play the song we want. That is, without random order. Of course, we can only play those songs that are within the list. Also, not all of them will include this feature, in principle only the recommended ones will. The Playlists or albums that cannot be played on demand will be distinguished with the random icon just before the title begins. The library does not disappear in this free version, we can save the music to play it later in random mode.
This new version is expected to begin rolling out to all users next week via an app update. At the moment, we don't know if it will only be available on Android, or if it will reach all users.
