The Google Assistant is on your mobile to help you. It wants to make you your grocery list, find music and play it, remember to put down the junk, and starting today, allow third-party apps to integrate with the Google Assistant. The Internet giant has announced, through its official blog, the arrival of the first applications developed for the Google Assistant in Spanish. Now, you can, for example, listen to news from El País without having to touch the screen. And many other things.
Listen to Los 40 news without touching your mobile screen
These are some of the new operations you can do, starting today, with the new Google Assistant:
- Listen to news from El País: 'Ok Google, I want to listen to El País'.
- Listen to news from El Mundo: 'Ok Google, I want to listen to El Mundo'.
- Find out everything that's happening in the world of music with Los 40: 'Ok Google, I want to listen to Los 40'. We can ask you to tell us the headlines of the news and then ask for a summary and expand or go to the next one.
- Play games like Akinator: 'Hey Google, Play Akinator'
Also, in the same Google blog they assure, as an example, that you can also:
- Search where to rent bikes near you with Busca Bicis or a place to park your car with the Parclick application. These two options were not yet available in our terminal when we did the test.
- Listen to gastronomic suggestions thanks to the Tender application (not available) or travel with Musement. In the latter, which will be activated just by saying 'Ok, Google, Musement', you will be able to receive out loud suggestions of places to visit on your leisure trips.
