How to deactivate direct notifications on Instagram
Table of contents:
Instagram is one of the best social networks that we can find in the app store, it is full of features, such as Stories, publications, and, above all, live videos. For a few months, users have been able to broadcast live so that their followers can see what they are doing. After a while, Instagram has been adding different tools, such as the possibility of sharing live videos. But without a doubt, the most tedious thing about live videos on Instagram are the notifications. Every time a user starts a 'Live' we get a notification. Many even take advantage of that, and start and end the live stream immediately so that the notification goes off. Fortunately, there are different methods to remove these notifications. Here's how.
First method: From the Instagram application
Option to deactivate live videos from the Instagram appYeah. In case you didn't know, Instagram has an option within its application to deactivate these live announcements. First of all, we must enter the application and go to our profile. Then, we go to the settings and slide to the option 'Notification settings'. If we enter, a list will appear with all the notification options. Among them we will see the notification options for 'Likes', Comments, mentions... The one that matters to us is the 'Live Videos' option. It is the penultimate option.
Here, by default we will see the option activated. But we can deactivate it only if we press the button. Now, the message that the user has started a live video will no longer appear. To verify this, you must access the Instagram stories yourself to verify that the person is making a live video. You can always activate or deactivate this option from the settings.
Second option: From device settings
This method is much more feasible, but it has a downside. We will not be able to see any of the notifications that come to us to the application. No mentions, no Likes, no comments, and fortunately, neither are live videos. If you have an Android device, you will have to go to the notifications option, notification management and search for the Instagram application.Next, we deactivate the option to allow notifications.
If we have an iPhone device, we go to 'Settings', and look for the Instagram application. Next, we go to the 'Notifications' option and unpin the allow notifications option.
Without a doubt, the first option is the most feasible, although the second way will avoid all notifications, it is the simplest to choose. Remember that you can always deactivate this option and the notifications will appear on your device again. In addition, we must highlight that, in the case of the second option, the notifications will appear directly in the application.
