WhatsApp is the most used messaging application in the world. It is possible that within it you have a small universe full of contacts with hundreds of open conversations, both individual and in groups. For this reason, we recommend that one of the formulas so that WhatsApp does not give you problems is to keep the app well organized. For example, archive conversations, make a regular backup or create shortcuts to chats. All these things will facilitate its use, especially if you are one of those who spend the day glued to the application. Take note because we give you five keys to keep your WhatsApp well organized.
Archive your conversations
If you want to keep the WhatsApp main panel clean and not too cluttered, you can do so by archiving conversations. This is one of the main keys to having a well-organized app. Don't worry, because even if you archive the conversations, you can resume them at any time without losing any text. Whether they talk to you or you, the archived contact will return to the WhatsApp main panel as soon as you claim it. If they speak to you, it will appear automatically, but if you want to resume a conversation with a contact yourself, you already know that you can do it by looking for that person from the WhatsApp search engine that is shown at the top.
If you decide to archive a conversation, you can do so by sliding your finger over the conversation to the left and tapping the archive button . If you look right next to it, another “More” option appears. If you enter you will be able to perform other actions on that conversation, such as mute it, get contact information, export the chat, empty it or delete it.
Shortcuts to conversations
Would you like to have shortcuts to your WhatsApp chats in the start menu? In this way, you will not have to open the application continuously to communicate with those people who talk the most. This feature is available only on Android and will help you keep your WhatsApp more organized. To create a direct chat you only have to enter the conversation within the app and click on the three vertical dots that are displayed on the right side of the screen of your device. In the dropdown, click More and Create Shortcut. You only have to do this and you can then find a round icon in the start menu. This icon will have the contact's name and will show their profile picture. Just by clicking on it you can enter the chat without having to open WhatsApp first. It is clear that you will gain in comfort and speed.
Backup
One of the ways to keep your WhatsApp more organized is to make a regular backup of all conversations. Imagine something happens to your phone, you uninstall the app or you just have to reset your phone to factory settings. If you make a backup you will have all your conversations saved, just as you left them. You can do it yourself manually, or schedule the application to make a backup automatically at a certain time of day. To do this, enter the WhatsApp settings in the chat section. Then go to Chat Backup.
On iOs you will see a message that says: “Back up your chat history and media files to iCloud. That way, if you lose your iPhone or trade it in for a new one, this information will be safe." Keep in mind, however, that your messages and media files will not be protected with WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption while they are in iCloud.
You have the possibility to perform the backup at that time, or check the automatic backup option. If you want to avoid excessive charges for the data consumption, remember to connect the device to a WiFi network.
Mark starred messages
WhatsApp gives you the possibility of being able to mark specific messages to pay more attention to them at another time. Imagine that a work contact sends you information you need to add. With this function you have the option of moving your messages to this section to review the content of the conversation when you are less busy. Also, simply, to have the messages that you want or like more stored in a special place. That way, you won't have to copy and paste them somewhere else, like in the Notes app or in an email.
To mark a message as featured, just press for a few seconds on the message in question. A series of options will open in which a star is also displayed. Click on it to store the message. Then go back to WhatsApp settings and enter "Featured messages". The information you just highlighted will be displayed, along with the date it occurred. If you click on the arrow shown next to it, you can go to the conversation. If you want to delete the message, just click on Edit, select and delete.
Do not save and empty
Finally, if you want to keep order outside of WhatsApp, we advise you to deactivate the option to save to the reel. It is available within the Settings, in Chats. In this way, all those that you receive from the tedious groups, which are usually many per day, will not be saved in your images. Likewise, if you get tired of the conversations, want to clean up, and need an urgent solution, in this same section you have the option to empty chats. All messages They will disappear as if by magic. Of course, if you have made a backup you can recover them from there.
