This is all the new things you can do with the Google Keyboard
The application Gboard – Google Keyboard will soon receive a major update that will add some very useful features The new version is still in phase beta, but it is already available for download as an APK. Among the novelties that we find we have the autocompletion of email addresses, support for new languages (Chinese and Korean) and a new universal search function. We have tested it to show you the news it includes.
Email address autocomplete
This may be one of the most useful features of the new version of Google Keyboard. When we have to put an email address, for example in a form, the keyboard will show the complete address in the suggestion window Just clicking on it will fill it out, just like any other word.
Of course, if you want to try the beta version of Gboard, you will see that the suggestions do not appear as soon as you install the keyboard. Some users indicate that the application has taken about 30 minutes to display the suggestions Others indicate that it has started to work after a few hours. So be patient.
Chinese and Korean languages
The Google team wanted to integrate all languages into a single keyboard app. Last November they added Japanese and now it's time for Chinese and Korean. In the new version of Gboard we already have them available.
Universal Media Search
The new version of Gboard includes a unique search function for any media content. Now, when you press the emoji icon in the lower left part, a new icon will appear that shows a magnifying glass.
When pressed we will see the screen divided into several sections In the far left part we will have some emoji.In the central area we will see some stickers. And on the right side we will find the GIFs. If we drag to the right, we can see the available GIF images.
Just above we will see the search bar. When typing a search term, we will see how the result in the three categories is shown at the bottom part. If you do not find results in any of the three, it simply does not appear.
Improvements in keyboard management
The new version of Google Keyboard also includes some improvements in keyboard and language management. Now all changes are made from the configuration screen.
In addition, there have been minor visual changes to the selection of new keyboards. And it's even now possible to select multiple keyboards to add simultaneously.
